JOB POSTING: Assistant Professor, Biology/Cell Biology

The Department of Biology at the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level, beginning August 2018. Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology, or related discipline from an accredited US university. In addition to demonstrating strong potential for outstanding teaching, the successful candidate will be expected to involve undergraduate level students in their research program. The area of research specialization is open but preference will be given to candidates working with non-mammalian systems. Applicants with postdoctoral research, a record of publications, experience mentoring students and especially college teaching experience are preferred. The successful candidate will be provided with laboratory facilities, start-up funds, and a salary commensurate with experience. Read Full Job Description
