Forest Preserve Conservation Corps Year-Round Crew Member

Corps members work year-round to remove invasive species and restore native plants throughout the Forest Preserves of Cook County. We are seeking Crew Members from diverse communities for a program that provides valuable skills and certifications that could lead to a long-term career in natural land management or other environmental jobs. Crew Members will collaborate with a team of four Crew Members, an Assistant Crew
Manager and a Crew Manager, working together outdoors removing invasive species and conducting other physical work to restore health to the preserves. Crew Members are expected to complete a number of trainings through Friends and the Forest Preserves of Cook County. They are also expected to participate in group presentations at local conferences and events.

CORP Dates:
This announcement is for our 2018/2019 program year that begins on March 7th, 2018.
This position will run from March 7th, 2018 to February 22nd, 2019; 7.5 hours/day; 30 hours per week. Crew schedule is Wednesday-Saturday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm (workday may begin as early as 6:00 am). Additional workdays may be added to the schedule and this schedule can change depending on weather and season.
